As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a professional, efficient, and profitable kitchen operation. You will work closely with front-of-house teams and senior management to exceed client expectations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily kitchen and front-of-house operations
- Ensure training, induction, and compliance with company policies
- Maintain high food presentation and service standards
- Design and implement innovative menus for canteens, boarding, and events
- Manage food stock control, ordering, invoicing, and cost reporting
- Uphold strict food safety, WHS, and hygiene standards
- Build strong relationships with staff, students, and clients
- Participate in management meetings and site communications
- Monitor performance KPIs including cost of goods, labour efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar leadership role
- Strong people management skills with a hands-on leadership style
- High-level food safety and WHS knowledge
- Ability to manage budgets, ordering, and stock control
- A passion for high-quality service and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
